Community support is important to me.
I’m proud to have earned the support of fellow Arlingtonians.
Community Supporters
Kathleen Clark, Arlington School Board Member: There is no one who is more vested in student outcomes than Miranda. Her questions in meetings and her work behind the scenes demonstrate, over and over again, her commitment to improving how the system serves students. As her school board colleague, but also as the mom to APS students receiving special education services, I know that the instruction our students receive is better because of her persistence, analysis, and focus -- particularly for students who need extra help to meet benchmarks and strengthen their skills. Miranda's persistence in advancing rigorous analysis of our use of Ed Tech and evidence-based math instruction will benefit all APS students. Miranda also models transparency. Her willingness to be direct and confront challenges head on has benefited our educators, staff, families, and the system as a whole.
Mary Kadera, Former School Board Member: No one researches the issues more carefully, asks more meaningful questions, or is more steadfast in her conviction that School Board members are accountable to the community that elected them than Miranda. She is a sharp, strategic thinker who quickly grasps the long-term implications and tradeoffs in every decision the board makes. If you care about having a School Board that exercises genuine strategic governance on behalf of the community, to make the best use of $860M in public funds and do the very best we can for each and every student, then you need to vote for Miranda.

Mike Lieberman, Chair, Arlington County Democratic Committee 2010-2014: “I know Miranda as a law partner and advocate. As a school board member, I know she will continue to be an important voice for our students and their families, ask the tough questions, and work hard and collaboratively to be sure everyone in our community has a seat at the table.”
Jennifer Wheelock, fmr ASEAC Chair:
“Miranda is a thoughtful, deliberative and effective school board member. She listens fairly to competing perspectives, is responsive to advisory committee concerns, and always puts student outcomes at the center of her decision making as a school board member. I’m proud to support her in a second term.”
Allan Gajadhar, Board Member, Past President, Arlington County Civic Association
Kip Malinowsky, Chair, Arlington County Democratic Committee 2014-2018
Francine Friedman, APS Parent and 25+ Year Arlingtonian: I am proud to support Miranda Turner for re-election to the Arlington County School Board. At a time when our schools face important decisions, Miranda offers the continuity, experience, and steady leadership needed to keep APS moving forward. As a 25-plus-year Arlington resident, a parent of three APS students whose family has been part of the school system since 2018, an active member of the Arlington Democrats, and someone engaged in national Democratic politics since the 1990s, I know the value of experienced, committed public leadership. Miranda’s knowledge and proven dedication will continue to serve Arlington’s students, families, educators, and community well.
