MEET MIRANDA
I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and have lived in Arlington for 13 years. I graduated from Brown University, where I majored in public policy and played volleyball. I also spent a semester at Bank Street College of Education and student-taught second grade. I earned my law degree at UVA Law. I’ve been an APS parent since 2015 and have three APS students in high school, middle school, and elementary school. I live in the Green Valley neighborhood. I’m a practicing lawyer.
I was elected Chair of the School Board in July 2026.
Before serving on the School Board, I was involved with the MPSA PTA, volunteered with the Drew PTA, served on the Early Childhood Education Committee to what was formerly the Advisory Committee on Teaching and Learning, and was on the board of Arlington Parents for Education. I was a member of Green Valley Civic Association’s Executive Committee and a delegate to the Civic Federation.
In my professional life as a lawyer, I’ve devoted substantial time to volunteer pro bono work, including representing Planned Parenthood in litigating abortion rights in federal court and mentoring younger attorneys representing clients in housing rights claims and parole proceedings.
Being on the School Board has been incredibly rewarding. I love working hard for our APS students and am asking for your vote to serve another four years!
